My Search for Serenity

I am so stressed, exhausted and depressed these past few days. I had irregular sleep for almost 3 weeks now just to do all the requirements and stuffs. I have to sacrifice hanging out with friends and I believe chilling out isn't their priority as of this time. I believe that I deserve to relax and freed my mind with these school-related dilemmas. I was looking for a place where I could find peace and release all my anxieties.

I'm an active forumer of a site that features threads of different cities here in Mindanao, Philippines. As I was browsing, my eyes were captivated with the pics of a certain place. My Goodbye to President Cory

This day is a start of a 10-day National mourning of he Philippines. Why? As what President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo considered as "National Treasure", Mrs. Corazon "Cory" Aquino has passed away. Who is Cory anyway? When she governed the Philippines and all those infamous "People Power Revolution" broke out, my mom and my dad is still in the process of my creation. I know her through books (History books), newspapers and of any other means. She is considered the first female president of the Philippines and of Asia, the "Mother of Democracy", a "Woman of Substance" and during her years, she's considered as the "Iron Woman of Asia". Yes, she has touched a lot of lives and has became inspiration for some. When the family announced March last year that she has colon cancer, a lot worried. But she didn't. Family and closest friends said that Mrs. Cory is very much prepared for anything that'll happen. Until the saddest moment really did happened. What is more touching is that, personally, I really feel how hard it is to have a family member succombs in cancer. My dad has just passed away May this year because of the same infirmity that Mrs. Cory has suffered. The pain is indescribable. She's a great loss. But the legacy that she has left will remain forever in the heart of millions Filipinos. Let's just all think that she's now happy back in the hands of the Creator. And that's something that's worth rejoicing.

Who Doesn't Know Harry?

Yesterday was a day of fun for me. Do you know my friend Harry? Yes Harry, Harry Potter. No, no, no, just kidding. Of course how on earth he'll know me. But everybody does. Well, who doesn't know him? Actually, I'm not really a fan of him. But I'm a person who loves adventure, travel and fun. When my classmates/friends invited to watch a movie of him in a cinema which is 88 kms away from the city we live, I never hesitated. I automatically said, of course why not. I don't follow his movies. In fact, I have only watched the first and the second book. But for fun sake, I went with them. It was a long travel and believe me, for one who loves travel, it didn't bore me. We arrived at the mall pat 12pm and the screening has already started. So what we did is we wait for the next screening which means will wait for almost 3 hours. So we strolled around the mall, took our lunch and strolled, and strolled, and strolled. It was tiring yet fun. My classmates/friends were so excited upon entering the cinema. How about me? Well, a bit...hehehe...To sum it up, it was full of fun. The movie was great and the day too.

Oh my Gee! Few days form now, I'll become a year older. I only have few days left to enjoy myself as a teenager. It sounds very depressing for me. I'll be turning 20 and I feel like I'm so old already. Actually as usual, no plans for that day. I'm used to spend it at home feeling like it's a normal day. Of course, texts of greetings from my friends will fill my phone. Am I expecting? I hope I'm not...hehehe..Anyways, this is my first birthday that I have my blog. So as an advice to all, show what you really feel towards your love ones. Coz, you'll never know, this moment is your last encounter with them. Never let that happen.

A Compliment or an Insult?

When people treat you like an immature kid (the picture I posted is exaggerated..hehehe) because you look younger than your age, is it a compliment or an insult? I’ve been to this kind of situation in which others don’t believe me that I am really my age. And mind this, this happened not only once or twice, but lots of time. For instance, when I was in a salon for a haircut, the barber asked me what year I am in high school. I told him that I am already graduating, not in high school, but in college. And he was laughing like I am telling him a lie. That was so shameful, if I have just with me my school ID that time, I’ll slap it in his face (just kidding…hehehe). Situations like this, how will you react? At first I treat it as nothing, but situations happened all over. So I find it not a small issue at all. Simple problem for many, but for me it’s huge. I’m looking for mechanism in which I can handle this kind of moments, that I’ll never get mad to these people coz it is not their fault at all. It’s my physique that says. Now that I have perfect ideas on what to give her, my next problem is on where to have a laundry bags. It’s my mom’s wish to have, a simple thing that I’ve found difficult to find. But I’m sure it’ll be easy over the internet. Wow, that’s why I love spending lots of time facing my PC.

Time to Move On

After all the troubles and the tribulation that I and my family has faced, I still looked up and realized that I still have to move on. The best thing that had happened despite all, is that I knew who my really friends are, those who wiped my anxieties out and consoled me the moment I was so down. Time is very precious indeed. So precious that I must not waste it with just doing nothing. So to me, "Live Life!"And to those who love me and will always do, "Thank you!"

Our Grievest Moment

I'm so sorry guys if I wasn't able to update my blog for me and my family is grieving right now. After all the pains that my dad had felt because of his infirmity, he is now alleviated for he is now in heaven if there is. He spent three days in the hospital crying because of deadly pain. Last Friday, May 22, 2009, it all ended and my father died. It was one of the saddest moment if not the saddest time of our life. We were not expecting that he'll die that soon. That time was full of tears and condolences from relatives and friends. I felt darkness. I felt despair. I felt helpless. This coming Saturday, May 30, is the burial of my father and I am not attending. I couldn't dare to see my mom crying, my brothers and sister grieving. I dunno where will I spend my Saturday. I'm still puzzled.

Dad in the Hospi

I missed my blog a lot. For almost a month of not posting any, I am now in my classmate's house, using his PC and connection just to visit my blog.
We are now in one of the saddest moments in our life. Early this morning, my father was rushed in the hospital. He got no sleep because of severe pain. His body is bloated and he really looks like he's losing hope. I got a phobia with hospitals, so I dunno how to face that fear now that I really have to visit my dad. I dunno how to cheer my father and the whole family up. Even myself, I dunno how to console. Only few of my friends know my situation and I am thankful to those who extended their sympathy and prayers. I dunno til when will I be strong to take this all.

How Hard

Behind my bubbly look are difficulties, hardships and struggles that I am trying to conceal. A lot of people say, it is us who made choices in our own life. That it is up to us if we wanna live it joyfully or in any other way. But I tell you, if you’re in my shoes, you’ll really say that it’s not only you (us) who’ll make your life, because if it’s only me who’ll gonna make choices, then I’ll always choose the best option.

How can I be really happy if whenever I got home, all I can hear is my father’s struggle with his infirmity? That I am so helpless and couldn’t even alleviate his pain. I’d even rather stroll outside than seeing my family crying because of helplessness. Yes, believe it or not, I may not look or sound one, but I belong to those Filipinos living below. I’ve been so very grateful still for I got friends (Yvette, marky and augrae especially) who’re there, letting me use their PC for this blog, lending me some penny if needed and best, listening to me if I need some ears. The question is, if all of these are just trials, when will it end? I even think that it is no longer a trial but a picture of how’s life is unjust. I really hope that I could stand with all of these and not fall in despair. I got a new bestfriend, who really listen to me and makes me feel lighter, this BLOG.

What About My Easter?

Though it is too late to do some postings about my Easter experience, I feel like it deserves a space in my blog. I had one of the happiest Easter Sunday I ever had. We spent the day in a nice white sand beach. It was very memorable for I spent no penny in that outing. My classmate do the treat. At first I really thought that I'll have a very lousy Sunday. But it turned out to be joyous. In the pic above is me and my friend/classmate Mary Joy.

Susan Boyle: She Made Me Cry

I'll be honest, I really hate crying. And if I did, I hide. I don't wanna let others see me falling down and so pathetic. This is me.

One day as I surf the net for news, a line caught my attention. The line says that someone shocked Simon Cowell. Who doesn't know Simon? American Idol? Britain's Got Talent? So I wasn't satisfied with just that line, so I really opened the link and read the whole article. And I saw an old woman, in front of the three judges, auditioning in Britain's Got Talent. Yes at first look, you'll really say that she got nothing to show. Human nature! As I watch the video clip, I was silent. I was stunned. She was so unbelievable. I became quiet. I cried. Really cried. She's so amazing. She's Susan Boyle, 47, unemployed and from a village in UK. In the video, everybody, including the judges and the hosts were shocked and almost cried. They gave her a standing ovation that she really deserve. I can see an innocence in her Susan's eyes, and her voice is so angelic that nobody will dare to criticize. I wish her the best of luck and her win she deserve. She's a living testimony that we shouldn't judge a person by appearance. But the ability and the kind of person he/she is. She'll be a mark in my mind and in my heart that no matter what people say, we should believe in our self and own ability.

A Taste of the West

I've been reading blogs and forums regarding home decorations and setting up. Most of the in-demand theme or motif is the western look. My Journey to the Top

Last holy week, my friends and I had our own way of remorsing. I dunno if they considered it as a penitence, but for me it was. Wednesday evening, we started mounting the highest peak here in Iligan City, Philippines which is Mt. Agad-agad. It is more or less 1,900ft. above sea level and for me it is really not that easy to summit for the terrain is so demanding that you really have to be focused or else you'll end up rolling down. We started our journey at exactly 6:47 in the evening. We're very lucky that time for the moon was in its full phase so it wasn't really that dark. It was a long walk. And it was not that easy walk like your climbing a ladder or strolling in the park. It was a hard one that you really even have to use your hands in climbing up. Yes, it was dangerous. We've got no ropes or something. All we have is the excitement and the determination to summit. We spent more than 2 hours in climbing up. But it was so rewarding. We've got the nice view of the city. I'm sure it'll never be the last time. We're planning to have a season 2 of our climb.

I Can Hear His Pain

Do you know how it feels to hear your dad, your mom or any family member crying in pain?

It's so depressing that I couldn't do anything just to alleviate the pain that my dad is feeling. I reallt thought that the ache that his illness caused is over. That he's feeling better now and that we have nothing to be worried about. But one day, I entered his room and I saw him how he is suffering from very severe pain. Yes, he has cancer, a colon-rectum cancer. The most depressing part is that I'm s o helpless. I wish I haven't seen that scene so that I'll never pity. But I saw it and it is so devastating in my part. From that moment I realized that my dad, even in the middle of his agony, still thinks for us. That he feels like hiding the pain just to spare us from worries and that he had to wear a mask just to conceal how he really suffered from deadly pain. My feeling is indescribable. I really wish that if I can take the pain from my dad and suffer it by myself, I would. But checkin the reality, I couldn't face it. A help!

Earth Hour: An Act in Saving Mother Earth

I'm so proud that our city, and our country as a whole, participated in an event that is of great help in saving the world. Texts circulated and words have been passed just to inform as many people as possible to cooperate and take part in this very significant event.

Later this night at around 8:30-9:30, the city (Iligan City, Philippines), was covered with blinding darkness. The electric company that supplies energy into the households cut the supply to show their support in this kind of advocacy. It is of great help in saving our mother Earth. Though it's only 1 hour of power outage, it created a great impact through 1 hour non-emission of Greenhouse Gases. And it's already a gigantic help in saving the world in its total devastation. I wish that next year, every human in this lovely Earth will take part in this event and be knowledgeable about world saving.

Hardware Help

I've been lurking into blogs, forum and relative articles just to find solutions with my little, but not that easy problem. I was asked by my uncle to help my cousin out in his assignment. By the way, my cousin is taking up a vocational course in a school within this city. Of course, through the advent of technology, I ended up facing the computer and asking my friend google. Til I found a website that talks about pneumatic tools like, Nailers, fasteners, compressors and the likes. It really helped me a lot for it tackles mainly on the hardware thingy which I've been searching for. I thank much my uncle asking my help about this matter for it also helped me in a way.

"I'll March, For My Dad"

You know what guys why I am dying to do anything just to march in the isle and step up myself onto the stage?

If I were to ask, I'll never hurry myself in order to graduate on time. Because what matters most to me is the quality of the education I have. It doesn't mean that if I'll receive my diploma on the prescribed period of time, then I'm well-equipped and prepared enough to face the world of employment. I know myself better that anybody does, and that of I believe that I still need more time to feed myself with ideas and education related to my course. But, why is that I'm pressuring myself to march this April? The answer is that, "IT IS ALL FOR MY DAD".
My dad has been diagnosed with cancer when I was still in junior high. That was one of the most devastating turning points in our family. We have to look strong even if deep inside we're dying. We have to look happy, even if were saddened. That's how we fake ourselves just to make every moment with our dad happy. The doctor guessed that my father has only 5 years to live. Therefore, this year is his 5th year. Though it is hard to admit the painful fact, but I have to. I know that my dad also hide the pain that his infirmity caused. But I can feel and sense it in his eyes. The moment he bleeds, my heart bleeds too. I promised to myself that I'll make him proud of me. I'll let him see his son marching on the isle getting his diploma. It will be my very gift to my dad before the moment of conviction comes. But I don't think I can give it. I don't know how to say this to him. I don't want to give him more worries. And I know I can never hide it from him the way I hide my true emotions. I just hope that he'll never leave us without seeing me graduating. My only pray.

Graduation and Depression

Good day guys!

I have something to confess. Next week will be the final week for us graduating students. And it is so clear to me that I'll be marching on the isle not. At first, I thought that it'll be fine for me not to graduate on time for I'm still young and the fact that half of our batch couldn't make it, it'll be just very fine to me. So, I exerted no efforts in doing our thesis and in complying our projects. But now as the days pass as quick as thunder, I get very depressed. Seeing a lot of students bringing their togas and soon be practicing for their march, it kills me. Though I'm trying to hide this pain from my parents and to my classmates, I don't know til when I can keep it and not burst. I even got no idea how painful and depressing it is more on the supposed to be my Graduation Day. I even don't know what can I do to myself on that day. Will I hide in my room and sleep until the feeling is gone or just go out and enjoy the day even if it hurts. I know that I got no one to blame but myself. Yes, it's all my fault. I just wish that my team mates got no regret for teaming with me. I hope that I'll be sane the day where some of friends and classmates are marching on the isle and get up on the stage to receive their diplomas.

A Worthy Sacrifice

I've been very, very busy these past few days doing my stuffs. I'm so tired enough to cede but it's not the right time to do so. I have to do my stuffs in order to complete all my requirements. I have to sacrifice my sleeping hours and spend it doing. What is my only console is that after all these hardships is a scene of success. I must not get tired. I must not give up. I'm doing this for my family, especially to my mama and papa who are expecting a lot from me. Got to go guys, I still have a lot of things to do.

Unbelievable

Yesterday afternoon, I felt like got nothing to do. Instead of wasting my time doing nothing (it was my break time), I opted to walked around the streets of our borough. I was hoping to be amazed with the surroundings and feel the air into my cheeks. But as I moved on, I was kinda dismayed with the scene. Concrete fence with rust stains. It was disrupting of the beautiful scenery. So I was wondering why they've never acted upon this form of scene obstruction. Since it was a mini-park with lots of trees, I thought that maybe spraying something into these stains to remove will affect the organic forms surrounding it.

I walked at home still wondering on what would be the best alternative to the solution of the problem. I ended up consulting google until I found a product that remove rust from concrete and its pure organic. Instead of using acidic solutions, you'll gonna use organic ones. It's the best solution I've ever found so far. Until I came to think, why I'm really bothered about the rust stains into the park's fence? Then, my mind answered, because if nobody will care, who will be?

A Goodbye to a KING

Today is one of the saddest days of Philippine show business. Why? Because another pillar of Filipino Rap scene collapsed. Francis M. who has been diagnosed with leukemia just last year died just this afternoon. Francis who has been tagged as the "Filipino Rap King" is one of my idols in the rap scene for his music usually depicts youth and the Filipino society as a whole. He even have a multiply account in which he's the one who personally put the latest news about his fight. He'll never be forgotten by Filipinos especially by me. Actually, I was shocked when I heard the news for I just saw him on TV few weeks ago and he looked like he's really gotten over. I know that wherever Master Francis M. now, he's happy. So we must be happy for him also that he had rest in peace.

Who Needs T-Shirt?

I've been very, very busy these pat few days. Overnight here, sleepover there, I got no chance of washing my own shirts. I didn't notice that I'm running out of clothes already that the next few days, I'll wear nothing. So I was thinking of buying new t-shirts just to cope with my need. I usually look up to the T-shirts printing. I love statement shirts and of course, it must be red or black in color. The problem is my allowance is just enough for my needs in fare, food and I only got petty savings. I still need to ask from my mom and I doubt she'll give me. The only remedy at this moment is to wash all my laundries even if my body dictates rest.

I Promise

This day is so great for me. No frowning nor dull moments. It's just that I was so happy, "never-minding" all the stressors that I got inside. So I came to think that if I made this day to be a joyful one, why won't I make my every day more joyous than today? Why not opt to be happy and forget all the worries and anxieties and just think of something happy? So from now on I promise to be not so "emotional". I really swear I'll be. It's better to wear a genuine smile than faking it. I don't know if tomorrow this promise will be kept. But my another promise is, I'll try my best to keep it. It's now time to help myself and enjoy every bit of my moment. Never mind all the problems for I believe we all humans have it. It's just a matter of severity or chronicity and of course the way we handle it. Now that I realized that it's all about choices. I promise to be the most jolly person you'll ever know.

How weather affects decisions?

Weather is an important factor in choosing the right place to live in. If you love freezing coldness, then maybe you'll settle in countries or in a state where temp goes as low as negative. But if you love not that low temp but not that high too, maybe you'll choose places with tropical climate. For the past few days, the weather in our place here in the Philippines has been so fair. The temp is moderate and I estimate it to range from 17-22 degrees celsius. But have you ever tried living in a "hot" place or would you like to live there it? I know that we all have different preferences when it come to choosing options and I believe there are people who love to settle in a place with a degree more than the tropical heat. I know there a lot of homes in Scottsdale that are built to accomodate those families or individuals who opted to settle there. Maybe if I find my place here in the Philippines as the best place to live in according to my preferences, people who live in Scottsdale, Arizona chose the place for they have a different criteria from what I have. It is so undeniable that weather really affects the decision on where to settle for good. So as early as now, set your own criteria.

To Graduate: No Hope

This is one of the most unforgettable year in my life.

It'll be the first day of march next week. I'm sure most students are rejoicing for it means the end of the semester ,which also means the start of summer. But for me and my classmates, pressure pressed us more. Hopes in our hearts starts to deteriorate. Chances of graduating this semester decreases as the days move on. So sad but must be faced with a strong soul. A lot of requirements are still needed to be fulfilled. And I don't think I could passed it all. I know it's all my fault but regret has no place in my heart. Pressures are more on me than blaming myself or anybody else. Anyways my only console is that, successful people don't need to graduate on time, they take things slowly bu t surely.

The Oscars

Have you watched the Academy Awards?
Maybe the world stopped for a couple of hours just to witness the one of the most glamorous events in the world. Even I was very excited this morning on who will receive the prestigious trophy of Oscars. I have my own bets and I wasn't failed on choosing them for most of them garnered the awards. My personal favorite movie, Slumdog Millionaire received 8 major awards and that's worth a celebration for me. Sean Penn got the Best Actor trophy for his role in the movie "Milk". I believe he deserve really the Oscars. I first knew him when he played the role as "sam" in "I am Sam". That movie really moved me in my sit. I wish I have the chance to be on the venue. But I know it'll be all in my dreams.

In today's internet generation where almost everybody knows how to surf the internet, security is one of the factors that must be considered. Sparing yourself from fraudulent e-mails, spams, scams and the likes is your responsibility. "Hackers" are all over the world and ready to do devastating acts unto anybody. The very key for a hacker to his prospects is the proxy IP address. So be careful in surfing the net. Never exploit things. Be a responsible internet surfer before it's too late.

What is an "EMO" to You?

What should I feel when they call me “emo”? How should I react?
When somebody call you such, what does it mean to you? Emotional? Yes, I am. But, they’ve never seen me crying. I don’t look lonely either. Maybe because of my words?, but I believe, it is not enough. I don’t wanna be called such. I don’t know why I feel irritated and pissed whenever they label me that. Will I be angry which sometimes I am. Or just don’t mind them and not get affected at all? All I know is that even if I’m lonely, I hide it. Even if I am sad, I am not weak. And that my patience has an end.

Lost your PR?

How important is Page Rank to you?
I guess, everybody who owns a site wishes to have a higher PR? Why? Well, of course it is one of the measures on how successful your site is. When I started blogging, I don't have any idea about it until my blogger friend told me about it. So I was so determined to update my blog, do some exchange of links, and the likes. I wasn't failed, Google gave me a PR 2. The satisfaction was immeasurable that time when I knew about it. I know for the fact that it isn't permanent for anytime it will be taken back or if lucky be better. So, to avoid losing my PR, I did all the things I have to do and avoid posting all the stuffs that will trigger the taking back of my rank. But last day, it was so dismaying to know, I went back to PR 0. I really don't know the reason, for my visits are a lot better than before. I got no paid post that Google can track, for I only have those that have no trackers. I'm really disappointed. The feeling is like a slap on the face, very depressing. But on mind, there's someone that tells me that it's just a number. Hell with that PR. As long as I have my blog that I can use to convey what's on my mind and be an outlet of my emotions, I'm still a blogger at the end of the day.
